Default 95 Stratus 2.4 loud vibration in Drive

I just picked up a 1995 Stratus 2.4L Automatic for 900$ w/ 146k.

The guy that sold it to me said the idle was very high around 2500. He said he took it to Autozone and they pulled a TPS fault and told him that's why the idle was high. I drove it home carefully as letting off the gas would not slow the car down (I would have to put it in N to slow it down). It had a check engine light on the whole time so we replaced the TPS and that cleared the check engine light but the car was still idling high.

I played around with it for several days unplugging vacuum hoses, reseating connectors and then suddenly the idle became normal.

Now this takes me to part two of the problem. The whole car vibrates extremely loud when it is in Drive, but is smooth in N or R. When shutting the car off, it ends in a clunk like a bad engine mount but I can't find any that seems out of place.

After getting the idle speed back to normal the check engine light came back on and I pulled 3 codes from it
* Battery disconnected (DUH!)
* Voltage differential between TPS and MAP sensors (Hmmm... Well I have had them both disconnected)
* P0700 transaxle fault

I've only actually driven it once, about 10 miles from the previous owners to my house. I'm more concerned that it is throwing codes than the acutal problem as the inspection is one month out so I need to get it inspected, but if the car is throwing codes it is going to fail inspection.

We have another car that is fine, but we share it between 3 people. I work 2 jobs and my girlfriend works 7 to 7 so we're constantly shuttling around between jobs.

Example: She drives me to work at 6:00. Someone drives her to work at 6:30 in her car. Then they pick me up at 3:00 and take me to my second job at 4:00 or 5:00 depending on the day. Then they pick her up at 7:00PM and she picks me up from work at 9:00. So this second car was pretty much a necessity because we are wasting a ton of gas constantly driving people to work and then returning back to the house to await the next person. Fortunately my first job is only 5mi from home and my second job is 5mi in the other direction from home, so I'm willing to put up with quite a bit on this car.

Other problems (fixable)
Horn stuck on (fuse has been pulled but I have to fix before it will pass inspection)
Left headlamp out (easily fixed)

Strangely enough, the A/C is ice cold!

Ok I've been messing with it and if I go from driving forward to neutral the problem goes away, and when I shift into Park it seems ok but when I let off the brake pedal it starts doing it again. If I rock the car forwards and backwards it alternates between doing it and not.

Reverse has no problems at all. I'm open to suggestions!
