Car just stopped....when trying to start i hear popping and a poof when I let off key. it tryies to start and rumbles a lil but nothing. Where is the fuel filter lovcated and is it easy to change for a layman?

 

year, model? I think for most stratuses the fuel filter is in the tank.

 

Usually they are around the fuel tank in the stratus. I have not replaced one in a stratus yet so I don't know how hard it is on this model (usually they are not to difficult if you have all of the materials)

What year is your Stratus?

 

this filter is up by the gas tank,which has to be dropped to get at it. i just had one done on my 98 stratus es.
