Default 5 Speed swap into a Stratus.

Well right now I have an automatic. I would like to put in a manuel transmission. I don't know jack about Stratus (2.4 DOHC).

I was doing some diggin and it seems some early stratus came with a 5 speed. Will that trans bolt up to my engine?

If not from what other startus or maybe neon 5 speed transwill bolt up?

Toon - Here's a link for you.

http://www.2gstratus.org/forums/inde...l=5+speed+swap

You really need to check out the whole thing. Devin posted several really good links about 2/3 of the way down in it as well. Good luck to you.

EDIT: I've never directed anyone to another forum in any post before. However, I felt like there was just a LOT of information in that link right there. Too much to start typing if you're just trying to help someone. So (because I feel like it'll prolly happen) I promise not to make a habit out of this.

Expect to be paying around 3k for all pasrts and install. I say sell the car and get a 5spd, not worth the hassel.
