While I was changing oil on my car(Dodge Stratus 2001 - 2.4L- DOHC X-automatic 4 door)I found a mount that was broken in several areas. I thought it was an engine mount but the store cant confirm this because the pictures on the computers look different. I have taken a picture of the part and hope that someone out there can tell me what it is exactly. The store thought it was a transmission mount but no picturesto confirm this either.Thank you very much.

where in the engine bay was it? if it was low, and in the front middleof the engine, sitting on a cross member that runs from the rad support to the lower firewall area, itsthe frontengine mount. if its low, and is in the rear middle of the engine (along the firewall) its the rear engine mount. im not familiar with the engine bay of a 4cyl stratus sedan, but i know that in a similargen sebring coupe with a 4cyl, the transmission is on the drivers side, and on the opposite side, the mount is high, in front of the strut tower.

also, if a parts store couldnt identify a part that had a part number on it, dont ever, ever go there again.
