Default problem tranny?
my 2000 stratus wont go into first until reved up to around 3500. I checked the fluid and everything looks good, (level and color), any suggestions? Oh, its an automatic and I have the 2.4L engine.

sounds like a torque convertor problem...is the fluid especially dirty?

no, the fluid looks good in color and the level is normal

that's strange... it shifts normally otherwise? I'd go with badstrat on that one, but maybe squee will have some insight.
