electrical problem?
Forabout 2 weeksnow my power lock switch on the driver side door didn't work I believe to some moisture getting on the switch, but the passenger door lock switch works.Today I was driving and decided to try the driver door lock switchwith no luck. After I tried the door switch there was a chime, and then 30 seconds later the radio went completely dead, no power. Everything else is working fine the power windows, dash lights, etc. When I turned off the car the gear lights stayed on, like I was driving, and after a couple seconds the boxes around the gear lights all lit up.Turned on the car again and everything started fine so turned off the car. When I went to open the door the odometer didn't lite up as what usually happens when the doors are open.Don't know whats wrong. It's a 2001 seden and battery has never been changed.Any ideas?
Well the fuse worked last night and this morning. Left work this afternoon and the fuse was blown again. The dome light, inside trunk release, horn, power door locks, radio do not work. Will take to dealership on monday if I can't figure out was is going on here.
It is the number 5 fuse in the interior fuse box. According to the manual it controls the power door lock and door lock arm/disarm swithces, vanity, reading, map, rear seating, ignition, and truck lights, illuminated entry, radio, power antenna, data link connector, body control module, and power amplifier. And the car is a 2002 stratus sedan 4 clyn. not a 2001 as stated earlier.
Thanks for any suggestions.
