'98 Stratus has been good
Hey folks,
I've (my wife) got a new 98 2.0 5sp in Dec 97. Headgasket went out (oil leak) just after the warrenty and once more just after the warrenty on that job. Hated that car because of that money, but the other day when I was replacing the original thermostat, that aside from the headgaskets and normal upkeep on brakes and timing belt, it's been a real good car. We haven't even replaced the original battery yet. Almost 180k miles. Way to go Dodge................
Just thought i'd share that.

That's really amazing. I have a 98 stratus and I've had to replace both front wheel bearings, some engine components, and the transmission (WHICH BLEW!!!!!!!!!!!). I've been hearing that the statuses have a horrible transmission problem after about 160k. Mine dropped at 150k.
