Default Performance chip

I was wanting to improve the gas mileage on my 2000 2.5L V6 and was curious if anyone knows if a performance chip will do that? Why should I do it or not. What are the pros and cons to a performance chip? Any input would be appreciated, good or bad please.

the way it is in the avenger with the 2.5 (my understanding is that they are very clsoe if not the same), there is 1 chip, but it is so hard to come by that itd be a hell of a find. dont buy the crap on ebay, they dont work. atleast thats how the venge is.

IMO there a waste of money. Find a shop, or someone that know how to Flash your ECU.

Yeah, wel latleast the one I've been wanting to get, improves gas mileage (up to 30 mpg), more HP (around 200), and Torque(around 200)to the front wheels
