post winter start up
I am hoping someone can help me I have been away from the country for the last 6 months and left my car parked in my drive way throughout the winter. The weather has been nice around here and finally had the time to start my car. Except it won't kick over, I know the battery has to be pretty much drained to death and I know the car did not have almost any gas in the tank before I left. So I added some fuel to it and tried to jump it with a f-250 pick up and no luck. Is there a fuel reset switch that needs to be activated? Please advise me anything ele I need to do.Thanks
Did you add any kind of gas stabilizer BEFORE letting it sit for 6 months ??? Leaving an almost empty tank is one of the worst things you can do as the vapors can condense and get water in the fuel , this can cause rusting in the tank as well as the water sinks to the bottom of the tank and the rust ... this can suck up into the fuel lines and filters ...
When you say no luck does the car crank ???
Does it have Spark ???
Is it getting fuel ???
