Default 2000 ES - Red dot in cluster.

Hello again,
Looking for information about a red dot on the cluster of my 2000 ES. It is to the right and just above the coolent gauge. I notice that this light blinks when the factory alarm is set, but it will randomly come on for a couple seconds while driving. I don't have any books (pdf anyone?) for this car, so I don't know what this light is trying to tell me. This morning it came on while slowing down to take a turn, yesturday it did it while cornering. It is just a dot, no words, no icon, etc.
Also, can anyone describe to me where the check engine light is supposed to be located, so that I can change the bulb.

Thanks![sm=smiley5.gif]

I imagine it is a rock sensor that detects when the car is pitched in any given direction. My old Celica had a sensor in it that would trip the alarm if the car got jostled, but only when the car was parked and off! Not sure whythis would come on while driving.

As for the CEL, on my 97 it is in the lower left of the dash. Usually you can make out the letters with the sun hitting the dash.
