I have a 2002 Dodge Stratus w/ the 2.7L engine. Within the last two days, the transmission has started giving me trouble. I've noticed that as I slow down from highway speeds (i.e. anything over 35 mph) and enter the 25 - 30 mph range, my car will appear to shift out of what I assume is overdrive and cause the car to jump forward a little bit. It's a very hard problem to describe in words. The car gives a little bit of acceleration before continuing to decelerate. I know its the tranny because it always happens at the same speed range and it doesn't happen if I slow down with the car in neutral. I've never encountered this type of problem beforeand I need HELP! Has anyone heard of this before....

What you describe is common in automatic transmissions. Some call it "kickdown" when it drops into first gear. it could be cause by something as simple as being low on transmission fluid, ranging to a serious problem. Check the trans fluid, fill with the CORRECT type if necessary, and otherwise get it checked if the levels look good.
