Bought the car with 155K on it. Had brakes put all the way around. Last time odometer worked (two weeks ago) it was at 171K. The brake practically goes to the floor and it is not safe to drive.

I checked brake fluid and the gasket in the cap was not the right size (had to trim it to fit). Is it possible that the loose gasket allowed airto get in the brake lines? Or could it be the master cylinder?

Any help is appreciated.
