Angry Help with decoding codes

Wife's 2000 Stratus has an intermittent check engine light. We will drive the car a few days with no light indication. Then the next day we will get the "check engine light" when we start the car and it may remain anywhere from a few days to a week or two. I did get the codes pulled; they are P0731, P740 and P1775. Any ideas?????

P0731 - Gear 1 ratio incorrect
p0740 - torque converter clutch circuit malfunction
P1775 - TCC in latch position

Seems that you are having transmission problems, going from the p0740, likely electrical problems. (which would explain why it's intermittent)

That is a possibility. I recently had a limp mode condition on my 2k es/v6. It turned out to be just the gasket that sits between the TCM and the transmission. I found it due to a small tranny fluid leak. It is a dealer only part, but it is only ~$20. it may be a good place to start, and would probably need to be replaced later with the TCM if that really is found to be faulty. Maybe find your local scrap yard and see if you can pull a TCM there and see if that one changes anything.
