My grandfather 2000 Dodge Stratus ES driver seat trunk release level not releasing trunk when pulled up an been this way since last sunday (9/28), anybody had this problem an know how to fix?

I've check the connections on both ends (level & trunk latch) an 90-95% of wire that was easily inspected without ripping interior apart.
