I have a 2000 Dodge Stratus ES 2.5L V6 with 185K Miles. That needs that needs the Rear cranksaft Oil Seal replaced.

The service manual replacement procedure indicates removing the oil pan and rear retainer and seal as an assembly (Rear Crankshaft Oil Seal COVER) Part number MD125544


Can the rear seal be removed without removing the retainer assembly (Rear Crankshaft Oil Seal COVER) and oil pan?
