Question Trip Odometer in 1996 Stratus

I know this is a strange question, but I don't seem to have a trip odometer button. The owners manual indicates that I should have one, but I don't. The odometer is digital so I know the button is not a mechanical one---is there some "secret" to seeing and resetting the trip odometer?

Thanks as always

There should be, immediately to the right of the odometer, a button. You push it once to switch to trip and back to odometer. Holding it in, will reset the trip.
If the button isn't there, there should be a hole, where the button used to be.

I have seen mechanical odometers w/out a trip (my pontiac 6000 to name just one), but have never seen a digital one w/out the ability. I can see maybe if it was an absolutely low end, most basic features and functions required to drive, not having it. I don't think even the basic stratus falls into that category.

If you can't find it, post a pic of your gauge cluster, and we'll see what the deal is.

Question Tripping Odometer

Hi
Well, there is no reset button nor a hole for one! The dash lights up essentially orange with green km/hr and odometer. I purchased the vehicle from the original purchaser and everything appears to be original. Since the odometer is digital I would guess the trip odometer can be reset with a simple pushbutton---however, I cannot find that pushbutton! On one occasion I did see the trip odometer displayed but the vehicle was parked and the ignition switch was in the on position however I have never been able to repeat this. This is rather perplexing!

That is the "normal" color scheme. green odo with orange backlighting.
A pic of your cluster (close up to the odo) would be grand.

You don't by chance have the information panel (compass, mpg, timers, etc) to the right of the cluster do you?
I wonder if the control is moved to THAT if it's present. I know it's an option, but i've NEVER seen a 1g strat with it
