What oil do we user? 5/30,10-30 or 10-40w?

hey i have a 97 strat. and it holds aright around 4.5 quarts of 10w30. i am assuming since the engine is the same size it will be the same for yours as it is mine. but i would call a local dealership or something that deals with dodges they could tell you for sure.
My 2003 SXT 2.4 DOHC takes a full 5 quarts of oil, possibly as much as 5.5 to the top of the hash on the dipstick. I use Pennzoil 5W-30 dino and change it every 3K miles. My owner's manual says to use 5W-30 up to 100F ambient temperature and to use 10W-30 above 32F ambient temperature, with the 5W-30 preferred where the two ranges overlap. If you have to deal with cold weather, you will get less engine wear on startup with a 5W-30 oil than a 10W-30.
If you need a manual for that vehicle and cannot find it on eBay, check the TechAuthority web site..... they sell all sorts of manuals for Mopar vehicles. Not always cheap, but the FSM's are worth the money.
