Hello,
Does anyone know how to reset the computer on a 2001 Dodge Stratus? We did the whole unhook the battery deal but I was wondering if anyway to reset all to factory (including radio stations?) or does this have to be done by a dealer? Thanks!

 

How long have you disconnected the battery for? It can take several hours to completely drain the memory backup. A total re-flash of the ecu must be done at the dealer if leaving the battery off for say, overnight, dosen't clear what you're trying to clear.

 

The radio itself stores the stations. Pulling the battery wont erase that.

 

when i store my stratus for the winter, i take the battery terminals off, and that clears my radio, but thats over the span of 4 or 5 months...dont all of the radios have a reset hole on the face?

op, if youre trying to reset codes by disconnecting the battery...if you have a big enough problem, the computer is going to keep detecting the problem, and triggering the CEL...
