Default 1998 Stratus Wont Start with Code P0340

Hello all. We have a 1998 Dodge Stratus 2.4l 4Cyl. that all of the sudden won't start. After a drive one day it was parked outside over night in the driveway. The next day the car would not start.

After some testing I found that:
-we have spark
-fuel pressure is good
-starter is good
-fuel pump is fine
-fuel filter is fine
-spark plugs are brand new after replacing just recently
-battery is good (brand new)
-fuel injectors are good
-we are getting the following info from an OBD2 Reader

code: P0340
Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)

-Freeze Frame Data-
Fuel System 1
Open Loop

Calculated Load
0.00%

Engine Coolant Temp
39 Degrees F

STFT Bank 1
0.00%

LTFT Bank 1
0.00%

Intake Manifold Pressure
29.8 in.hg

Engine RPM
000 RPM

Vehicle Speed
0 MPH

I'm not sure if we should go about jumping into replacing the camshaft position sensor or where to start. I can't afford to have it towed to a technician at the moment...Any ideas? Your help is much appreciated in advance. Thank You!

It's your crankshaft sensor.

The crankshaft position sensor seems to be a pretty common problem with the 2.4's (1g) and is most likely where your fault lies given the code. it can wreak all sorts of havoc if its not working right.
