Default 2001 Stratus R/T - Fan blower won't work

Turn the switch 1-4 and nothing happens. Press the A/C button and it won't light up either. I talked to the tech guy and he said that IF there were a fuse for the A/C blower it would be called HVAC, but I don't see a fuse like that in here. He also said that it might be a resister up in the dash that has gone bad.
Anyone have any other ideas? Ever heard of this resister?
Thanks

typically, if the blower motor resistor goes bad, which is somewhat common, youll have function at like 4 only, and the other three wont work. also, ive not heard of that affecting the function of the AC. it also sounds to me like your switch went bad.

I'll try to pull the switch and test it then. It definitely doesn't work at any speed. And you know how even if the A/C function is ON, the light won't be on at the OFF position... Well, I just figured that since the motor wasn't coming on, that light wouldn't either. But I'll check that switch out for sure.

well, the reason that im thinking about the switch...the AC switch is dependent on the switch being on to turn on the AC...and when ive seen blower motor resistors go bad, the fan will often still work at one or two speeds...often low and high.

Id go for the resistor first. Ive blown 3 of em, some dont work at all when they go, and some just work on high. and now im just gonna replace the blower motor.

Default Fixed it!

Just so you all know, I started checking the fuses just in case, and it turned out to be number 15 (30 amp) in the interior fuse panel, labeled "heater." I would have never thought that "heater" would be it, but it was burned and I switched it out with the spare 30A and it works fine now.

Thanks for the help. I'm glad it turned out to be the simple solution.

Default blower switch

I'm having the same problem with my 2001 r/t stratus. The fan doesn't work in any position how do I go about checking the switch. The checked the fuse and it was good. In my car the rear defroster work but the fan switch and the ac switch has no power.

Default stratus ac fan blower switch and resistor

I'm also having the same problem with my 2000 stratus. The fan doesn't work in any position either. Did you solve your problem with yours?
Where is the resistor block that your talking about?
