Default Leaks around tranny/block area

I, im a newbie here.I got 98 2.4 stratus.Yesterday i took off my winter tires and wheel to install my summer one.I change those quickly and took it for a drive.I realise that one of my wheel bearing was shot(front pass side) so i took the car home and found a black spot in my driveway.

I then check the car and saw that it was leaking fluid between the transmission and the engine block(everything is wet).The trans fluid is ok,the master fluid is ok,the power steering is ok and i also checked the cooling fluid and its ok with no oil in it.But there was a lot of oil missing in the engine so its engine oil.The car run fine without overheating but it leaks oil quite a bit.

So before pulling off the trans because my first thougt is that the crank seal is shot,should i checked something else that could be the source of the problem.Something maybe that someone have already experience.

Thank you and sorry for my bad english

So your suggesting that it could be the oil filter or oil filter housing???

I will change the oil and clean everything underneath the engine and look for some leaks.

Thanks

Yesterday i ve washed the back of the engine with brake cleaner but it was really seems to be coming from the back of the head near the gasket.So ill drive it for 2-3 days and check it back.

if it's the top of the head, could just be the valve cover gasket, no big deal to replace. if it's the head gasket, it's a bit more in depth.

let us know.
