I have the code p1775 on my car. I have found that it means I have Solenoid Switch Valve Latched in L/R Position. I am just wondering what I am I looking at to get this fixed / or can it be done at home. We just bought a home and can't afford costly repairs.

Would be a good idea to tell us what we're dealing with. Not all stratus's are created equal 
Main things we need to know are, and it's a good idea to put them in your sig or car detail area of your profile here, so you don't have to keep putting them in each time
a) Year / Trim (ex 2000 ES, 2003 r/t)
b) Coupe / Sedan
c) Engine size (2.4, 2.5v6)
d) Anything else you can provide for details.
Simply having a single code may not be what the exact problem is. Any weird symptoms? or is this just the CEL that came on?
