Default where to ground???

As you can see in another thread i posted, im upgrading the grounds in my 2004 stratus SE, well i have a question, will i be getting as many volts from the negative and positive jump start posts as i would from hooking directly to the battery posts? this is vital to the procedure im trying to accomplish, because i need to know that hooking up my power wire to my +jump start post will be just the same as hooking it up directly, in the sense of volts i will be getting? any help on this??? thanks

In the car audio biz, the shorter your wire runs, the better. I doubt you'll see much if at all any difference in your voltage, although going directly from the battery eliminates the additional connector. For anyone that doesn't know already, always run your ground wire to the nearest spot that you can drill into. I don't like having any ground wires off my amps/caps and isolators to be more than 6 inches, less if possible.

I can't give specific numbers, as each car reads differently, but if you can ground to your frame at the closest possible point, the stronger the connection you'll get.
