im looking at an 04 sxt coupe with 81k on it. its a stick shift, seems perfect. i was wondering if there are any issues with anything at all on these cars that i will encounter that someone could inform me on?

I've had mine since Dec. of 07 and the only issues I've had are minor. My drivers side visor had somehow lost its tension and it will flop back n forth if it's let to hang freely, I was told it would be between $180. and $365. to replace it with a new part, I'm looking in to a wrecking yard or upholstery shop for an inexpensive fix. The only other issue I've had was last weekend a hinge/ strap that holds the door in position when it's open had snapped in half but I unscrewed it and removed the broken part until I can go get another one...not a big pain to me. I've never had any other problems with it, other than it's a lil low to the ground, but it's performance is awesome, it gets up and moves real quick, infact I learned that it was a 4 cyl only after I test drove it and almost didn't believe it, mine has alot of power. It's also excellent on gas, and who can't love that in this economy? It's been a very good car for me now that my kids are older and I dont need 4 doors. It's surprisingly roomy, even in the back seat. Would I buy it again if I had the chance, and knowing what I do about it...? Definately. Hope this helps : )

 

I love my coupe. 01 4cyl 5spd, stock clutch, runs well. I would buy another.

 

i have an 02 coupe that was on a drag strip and autoX course within a week of buying it. Its been well maintained, but ive not had any of the problems that many coupe owners deal with...i too love my coupe and have never regretted buying it. its not blinding fast, but even with my 3.0, im very happy with the mileage.
