Question number 1:

On the tube that carries air from the air filter box to the air box that sits on top of the throttle body there is a small diameter hose that plugs into it on the back side. Where does the other end of this hose belong?

Holy crap, I just spaced out and can't remember what I need to ask... I'll have to sit on this for a bit haha!

The other end of the cable usually will lead to the engines valve cover. there should be a nipple where the other end of the hose will plug into.

Hmm, I must have some mis-matched parts then.

I have a 2.0 SOHC engine and the valve cover has no receptacle for a PCV valve. The motor utilizes an oil separator mounted to the front of the block and the PCV valve is in a hose that leads from the oil separator to the intake manifold.

The engine is not the original, it must be from a different model and they kept the original intake tube.

I suppose I will just plug a fancy little cone air filter into the hole and leave it alone.

I suppose that will work. I don't have (nor have ever seen the 2.0). Maybe see if you can find the same setup in a junkyard that hasn't been stripped apart that will help quite a bit. It is my understanding that the 2.0 is shared with the Neon, so maybe you've got a neon engine in there
