Installed a el cheapo one from the bay... Does the computer have to relearn... cause my idle is low now... almost dying low....

Did you unplug the battery? If so I has to relearn.

Make sure you plugged the Mass Air Flow sensor in.

Thanks... ran it tonight... seems to have relearned and idles now... I wonder whats gonna happen when I take it to a drive thru car wash with that filter sitting where it is???

Nothing... just so long as you dont run it through a foot of water, you will be alright. You can get a bypass valve if it makes you feel better. AEM makes one.

ive run through some HARD rain with mine, and ive not had any issues...i have about 73,000 miles, and ive had the CAI since the week after i got the car (new). i think that hydrolock is a rumor started by ricers who drive their cars into deep water.

i had some issues early on with my CAI causing a rough idle..if that happens, make sure that everything behind the MAFS is good and tight. an air leak past the MAFS will cause an idle issue.
