Hello, I've owned a used car lot now for 28 years. We have come across this problem several times in the past and in each time we have replaced the DISTRIBUTOR and only the distributor. That alone solved the problem. They cost just under $200.00. When removing the old one, pay very close attention to where the rotor cap is pointed so to install the new one in the exact position.

i have a 2000 dodge durango and not firing the plugs or injectors i know its not a sensor, could it be the computer box, or a bad wire any ideas

 

might have better luck posting in the durango section, could be anything sensor,wiring ,computer,ASD relay etc.

 

i have a dodge stratus and i went to start it one morning and it started for a couple seconds sputterd then died and when i tried to start it again it just turns over but there is no combustion when i try and start it for 5 seconds you can smell gas but there isnt anything happening but turning over. i dont know what to do the no bus light comes on once and a while when im trying to start it. please any help i really need it Thank you

 

Im wondering if its the distributor im not sure but it might sound like the problem I really need to get it running ASAP any input would be helpful

 

no 12 volts to the asd relay what could cause this .. changed both computers under the hood

 

Check all fuses reguardless of what its for then check the pins In the fuse panel one could have been damaged then remove fuse panel and check under where all the wires are for any problems

 

You can also try to manually power the relay would reccomend a service station if your unsure of the wiring.

 

im not getting any fire to spark plugs and it has a new fuel pump and coil pack but no fire to spark plugs need help with this
