I am Thinking about buying a 2006 Dodge Stratus SXT 2.7 Liter V-6 . Color is Satin Jade Pearlcoat,
it has 46,500 miles on it. Price is $7980.00 .. Car is in Excellent condition .. is this worth it ? Are
there any of issues with this year and model ? Please let me know your thoughts ..

Thanks

Any options? Sunroof, leather, etc...? We bought a 2006 sxt "special edition" about two years ago. 25k on the odometer, 2.7l, auto, sunroof, leather seats, and 16" chrome wheels. It's been pretty reliable. I average 25-28mpg, mostly a mix of city and highway. On the Highway, I've gotten up to 32mpg. It now has 49k.

Downside so far.... Paint is coming off of the rubber trim pieces on the door. Darn things look like they are rusting.

Get it checked out by a mechanic that you trust, and good luck

The 2.7L V6 has sludge issues, and even though it was supposedly fixed, I wont believe it...

I thought everybody knew about the sludge monster. C'mon, just because ebay was littered with 2001-2003 2.7l powered cars w/blown motors...

I change the oil regularly w/synthetic...I'm not taking any chances either. So far, both of our cars with the 2.7l have held up well.
