Default Swap out factory seats

Hey guys, I'm taking out my factory seats of my 98 dodge stratus. They are the cloth type and I'm going to replace them with leather seats I got from an Audi. Looking at how the 4 bolts attach to the floor I know that they wont align with the new seats. Is there something I can put to align everything or should I just drill new holes? How safe is it to drill the floor? are there any wires or anything that could turn this into a even more expensive project?

thanks for your help.

Have you considered the leather seats from a 95-00 stratus ES? I've found them to be quite comfortable and durable. They will be a direct fit, you will just need power for the 8 way power seat, which could be a very easy mod.

I did consider but I couldn't find seats in decent condition. I looked in junk yards but nothing. My default seats are manual and so are the ones i got.

I wouldn't know how to wire the electric ones

Eh, that kinda sucks that you can't find any in good condition
The ones I've seen 'round here were all decent condition, as long as the windows weren't removed or broken out.

As far as a power seat, all the controls and motors are built into the seat, you would only need to have a 12v+ and ground connection. Self contained.

Have you checked other Dodge/Chrysler products at the junk yard? There is very likely to find other car models that have the same bolt pattern for the seats. I know you already have the Audi seats, but I would be leary of using a self made hole, which may not have the proper reinforcement to hold in place in an accident, causing injuries or even death.

Found this site, I AM NOT ENDORSING IT, it was just the first one that I found!! that had seat brackets. Mainly geared towards mounting racing seats, It could not hurt to call them and see what brackets are made to fit our Strats.

I emailed them and no answer.... bummer. I checked more junk yards but the interiors I found from the cirrus and stratus were destroyed as the cars had some missing windows and the Arizona sun and rain really damaged them. Is there any way I can mount the seats using some stuff from home depot?

I put racing seats in a buddies and Wedge Engineering had the adapter mounts for them you'd need to mod the audi ones to sit level to use them ...

There are special inserts that are mounted into the floor to hold the weight , I WOULD NOT attempt drilling as the sheet metal might not hold the seats in a crash
