2003 dodge stratus 2.4l....when driving and when slowing down to stop i notice the rpms jump up a little then go back down,is that a normal thing,it always happens around 1200 rpms then it comes back to 800 rpms before i stop.

 

Most automatic cars that I've had will "jump" just a little as the trans downshifts. Perfectly normal IMHO.
