Default 1996 stratus 2.5 AUTOSTICK

I REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION AND ITS STUCK IN LIMP MODE, IT HAS REVERSE AND 2ND GEAR . I USED THE SAME VALVE BODY ,SOLENOID,AND SPEED SENSORS .I THINK I MIGHT NEED A NEW TCM PART # 04606358. I CHECKED THE JUNK YARD BUT CANT FIND THAT EXACT NUMBER, DOES ANYONE KNOW IF YOU CAN USE ANOTHER PART NUMBER . SOME OF THE CARS IN THE JUNK YARD HAVE THE SAME TRANS AND MOTOR AS MINE BUT THE MODULE PART NUMBER IS DIFFERENT . IF I REPLACE THE MODULE AND SOLENOID AT THE SAME TIME FROM A JUNK YARD WOULD IT WORK ? i THINK MAYBE THE NEWER MODEL CARS ARE PROGRAMMED TO SHIFT SMOOTHER AND NOT GO INTO LIMP MODE AS EASY. ANYHOW DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEY CAN BE CROSS REFERENCED TO WORK?

First make sure the gasket between the TCM and the trans is OK, If you reused it, it's likely no good anymore. It's a common failure point with the 2.5A/S setup. If you can get any codes read from your trans, it will help narrow down what is keeping it in limp mode.
