Default 01 Strat R/t Shifting ???'s

My car has started to do some funky shifting from 2nd to 3rd.
It doesn't slip but it's like it hesitates to shift, anybody else come across this issue?
What besides a rebuild can I do?
Is this a shift module problem??

I would ask myself if there is ATF4 in the tranny. I dont let anyone mess with my tranny fluid cause most don't know to use ATF4 only...

Actually it's Diamond SP III, if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, you might try a product call Auto-Rx to clean your transmission. I used Auto-Rx right after I bought my 02 and could really tell the difference, a little pricey..($27 a bottle) but it did clean things up nicley.

Synthetic ATF+4 works just fine in 90 percent of Chrysler products. Seafoam trans tune works well as well. On the 3.0L R/T's there is no trans filter so dump some of the sea foam trans tune in the transmission fill tube, For good measure get some of the normal Seafoam put half the can in your crank case the other in your gas tank. Drive around for say 30 minutes city driving stopping and starting using all the gears get everything good and warmed up. Hit up the parts store for the Synthetic ATF+4, and a good synthetic oil I recommend Mobile 1 0-30 in the cold makes the car start much better and the lifters wont tap like hell till the motor is warm.

Dont let the arm chair mechanics scare you away the mobile 0-30 meets all protection, and sheer strength requirements of 5-30 set by API. Also keep in mind it also meets the new "SM" requirements versus the "sl" that was the standard in 01 when your car was built.

If after you change the fluid and do the oil change and make sure all fluids are where they need to be and you still have sluggish shifting and or hard shifting it could very well be in the torque converter, a bad shift solenoid or at some point the transmission overheated and could be on its way to being toast.

Is it the 4 or 5 speed auto?
