Hey Guys/Gals, I have a 2003 Dodge Neon SXT with the 2.0 motor in it and I was wondering if the 3.0L Mitsubishi 6G72 V6 and manual transmision from a Dodge Stratus would fit inside the engine bay of my '03. I don't care if I lose my AC and PS, just want to know if it will fit without MAJOR mods to the frame. Any help will be appreciated!!!

The 3.0 is a pretty hefty engine (and if you're talking about taking one from a coupe, it's also a Mitsubishi [6g72]...) I'm guessing that there will be major mods to physically fit it, and even more electrical mods to get it to work with your ECU.

If you haven't already, You might want to post your question in the Neon forum also, as members there would have a much better idea of what could fit, and what is involved with modifying your neon.

 

This is like Stratus coupe owners asking if they can put the SRT4 motor in their cars... You can do anything you want, but its not going to be direct.
