I am in need of help locating a problem on a 97 stratus. when the car is being driven it will randomly start misfiring to the point that the car is shaking. I accidentally figured out that if the blower for the heater was turned all the way up to high the car would stop missing. I tried about 10 times to make sure it was not a coincidence. That only worked for about a week and a half and then even with the fan on high it would act up. So I started messing with all of the controls on the dash and found another temporary fix which is the rear defrost being on. If anybody has had any similar problems please let me know where to start looking for the problem

 

You might want to do a scan and check for problems first off and if nothing comes up in that then i would have it looked at by someone who knows what they are doing. It is not a short because a misfire would not happen because of an electrical short.
