Default Cirrus Thermostat

Hey, I have a 2000 Cirrus with the 2.4 with 93000 miles on it. For the last couple of months now I have noticed a huge dip in fuel economy. I replaced plugs, wires all filters etc to no avail. Last week I noticed the temperature guage reading lower than usual. So I bought a new thermostat and when I took the old one out, somehow the lower section of the thing became seperated and as a result was stuck open. Well I put in my new thermostat and to my suprise I am running at top efficency and the car is running better than ever. I dont know if there is a defect in the original thermostats or what, but keep this in mind if you have the same problem.

Thanks for letting everyone know, it will probably help a few people out who need it.[sm=smiley20.gif]
