With the 41te transmissions, just a fluid change (drain, replace filter, refill) is pretty sufficient. It is common practice on the Caravans (same transmission, more weight to move) to drain and fill, run it for a couple hundred miles, repeat. At almost 100,000mi, it's not a bad idea to drain it and replace the filter. It is NORMAL to have a fine metal powder around the magnet in the transmission fluid pan, it is bad if there is shavings or chunks. And when you refill it, ONLY USE ATF+4, not any "universal" type fluid. You may experience rough shifts immediately after changing the fluid, but this is normal as the transmission learns the new fluid.
