I'm in the process of taking the car apart again since I put the timing belt on a couple teeth off and now I'm stuck at the balancer again. I'm using the same puller as last time. The rod last time seemed to be about 1/2-1 mm to short to fully seperate the HB from the crank but I was able to pry it off.

This time the HB is stuck! I have already bottomed out the top bolt on the puller, so the puller can't pull it any further. I've also used every long tool I have to try and pry it the last millimeter with no luck.

Any body else have this problem or have any tips for me. I've already messed up the back of the HB where the power steering belt goes.

I found an extended push rod online for the Harmonic Balancer puller and ordered it. Hope this rod is longer than the one that came in the kit I rented from Autozone.
