ready for Hell? good.

I have a 4 gauge wire in my RT, and to do this you will want to begin by opening your hood. youll need to remove your entire stock intake system (i dont have a picture)...youll also have to remove the Left front headlight.

next remove the inner fender well lining. first picture

then remove the piece of plastic that hides the point where the lower side fascia meets the fender. second picture

in the third picture my power line is highlighted in red, it needs to go inside the fender, and to do this, you must remove the left front fender. there are bolts along the top of the engine compartment which is highlighted...BE CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING THE FENDER, IT IS RAZOR SHARP.

now, once the fender is off, you will see a large rubber grommet which is partially under the door and under where the fender was. his is where all of the wires that control the entire car run. you will need to very carefully cut a small slit to feed the wire through. try putting some cooking oil on it to make it easier. when it comes through that grommet, it will come into the car about a foot above the foot rest. i then ran mine under the door sill guard, highlighted in red in the 4th picture. i then removed the rear seat panel, and ran it under there, then under the back of the rear seat, into the trunk..i used a trunk hinge mounting bolt for the ground wire.

this is an awful job. i did it once, and i wil NEVER do it again. have you bypassed the factory amp already?

Actually I do have another question. Say I bought another battery to put in my trunk. Would I just but the power from the amp to it and find a ground, or do I need some sort of power from my other battery going to the battery in the back?

you would need to run an alternator cable back to that battery or it would just die.

how big of a system are you running? I have 2 12s and a 3000W amp...i dont even have a capacitor...and mine Booms.

well, you will want to run a 1 farad capacitor for those, if not for each.

i have an 04 sxt sedan, idk how different it is but when i put my subs in the firewall was the hardest thing to do...we punched a bigger hole through the firewall to fit the wire on the drivers side obviously,if u feel around u should be able to tell what it is,u just gotta make it a little bigger....butttt it could be different. let me know
