I have a very exciting problem with my car. Forever, my cruise control has been broken, no longer working, but recently it started working again...only, by itself, and randomly. It will turn on, try to accelerate. Exciting, especially at stoplights!

Obviously, I have stopped driving it, but would like to find a way to just disconnect the cruise control. Any ideas on how to do this? Is it easy? Car is a 2002 stratus.

 

I can't remember if there is a fuse or not but if there is, pull the fuse. Otherwise, pull the connector from the cruise control control in the engine bay. It's on the drivers side by the brake master cylinder.
