Default C/V Joint Left side 2000 es 2.5

Went to the garage and told them to change my driver cv joint. They put it on a ramp and raised it up with weight on wheels. They said it wasnt cv joint most likely tie rods. I changed the tie rods myself. Wasnt tie rods.

Just before I let the car down after changing driver tie rod I thought I would grab the tire and play with it. Everything was tight but clockwise and counter clockwise there was ALOT of play.

Symptons are clunking with acceleration and deceleration. Was the garage right?

Went to autozone website and they list a 46 spline and a 52 spline. Both were ABS and I have ABS. So which is it? I have autostick trans.

Thanks

My CV joint might be out right now, and I need to have it checked. I'll let you know if I find out anything that might help you. If you have already found out your answer, please post to help me figure out mine.

Drive making figure eights at just about full steering lock each way. If the CV joint is bad it will make clicking noise. Also check the boots. Your noise might possibly be the upper shock mount.

Mine makes a squeaking noise on the front driver's side when we go over bumps and the wheel is turned. We're getting it checked next week, just would like to know what's going on myself ahead of time.
