i just hit 200000 miles on my 98 dodge stratus sedan 2.4l v4 do i need anything changed? maintence/service? anything? and i have a problem when i start up my car in cold the mph gauge goes up by itself and the engine revs but rpm stays n i have to put it in drive move up a little then i could back up cuz if i dont do that the mph will just keep going up n down randomly n feels like its neutral when it aint any advice?

 

What you change is always dependent on what your maintenance schedule has been.

 

Haha, at that mileage I was thinking about how to put my car out of its misery, and you're talking about maintenance. Lol, check the blinker fluid and keep driving, I guess.

 

At that mileage, keep doing what you been doing. I would not "shock" any systems by doing flushes (especially pressurized ones, like the quickie shops like to do). Just keep up your fluids good (oil, trans, antifreeze), and keep on rollin.
