Hi folks,
I'm new to the site, bought a 03 Stratus that was missing both of the keyless entry fobs. I used the VIN to verify the car has keyless entry, then bought a factory replacement fob (from keylessride). I took it to a local locksmith who programs these all the time. He said the programming was successful, and the fob is working, but it doesn't work. I have a suspicion that the previous owner had an alarm or something installed at one point, and may have disconnected something that has disabled keyless entry. (the car was a repo, and a bunch of stereo equipment was removed right before the repo went down) I checked all the fuses under the hood, and in the interior fuse panel.

Any ideas where I could start looking to find the problem?

have you checked to see if the relay is still in the car or if it is bad?

Keyless entry was an option. Your car may not have this feature. All cars had power door locks.

 

I have a 2006 Dodge Durango that I am having similar issues with. I bought a key (w/integrated fob) and took it to the dealership and they couldn't get it to work either. Relay is good. What else can I look for?
