Unhappy Need More Legroom 2001 Dodge Stratus

I am trying to find a solution to my problem. I am 6'4" and a half and my knees sometimes bump the steering wheel when pumping the brakes. Maybe the seats could be lowered.maybe the steering wheel could be lifted some more..what are my options as far as modifications?

First thought that came to my mind was moving the seat rails back a few inches. Would take some drilling and whatnot, but seems to me that it would be the easiest and cheapest solution if it's possible.

I've seen in the past brackets (made for mounting racing seats to the OEM mounts), that may allow you to move it back without having to re-create mount points, which if done incorrectly, can cause severe injury in an accident if the seat pulls up from the floor. It's something to think about I suppose. There may also be other options, such as one of those fabrication places that adapt vehicles for various handicaps.

Aren't there seat extenders for the stratus? There are for most other vehicles. They bolt in place of the existing sliders and allow the seat to go back a few more inches.
