02 Stratus SXT 2.4 SOHC Oil Pressure?
All,
I have the Mitsubishi 2.4L SOHC and when ideling at around 700RPM my Oil warning light is on. The oil level checked good and I have changed the oil/filter and it did not help. If I increase the RPM's to around 800RPM, the light goes out. If I remove the oil filler cap when idleing, I see oil being shot up and onto the valve train. The engine is not makeing any noise, is running cool, and has good power. I checked at several parts stores for a Oil Sending Unit, but it is a factory item only. Does anyone have any suggestions?
