Yeah , My name is Dan Wells Ive been a mechanic for about 20 years in Reno Nevada , Im currently a smog tech at shell gas station and my question is :I want to know what the difference is between the sbec and ngc. besides the number of pins in the connector to the ecm ,year, make model wise ?. Any feed back would be appreciated. I recently did an engine swap in a 2002 Dodge Stratus and the tone wheel was incompatible, so it gave me quite a lot of trouble and Im trying to learn from the mistakes I made. Im still not sure what the difference is between the sbec and the ngc.
thanks.
thanks.

You need to use the cam trigger for the car not the motor.

end of this article talks about the trigger wheel change. this is what causes no run/poor running when you get the wrong year engine.
