Don't do it!!!! Just read about the 2.7 engine and that alone should be enough to convince you about owning that car. There's many people trying to sue Chrysler for this horrible engine.

ive heard about that one, and i heard mitsubishi made that engine(coming from a car dealer). but i think he got all that twisted. and i just wiki'd it, only coupes have that mitsubishi engine?. i know i wont be driving hard with that car, just to work and school. im sure it wont breakdown on me that fast.. right? lol. i got a question, do they all have the same oil pressure switch? this one im looking at has a really small leak to it.

I have a 2.7 intrepid that has 120,000 miles. The 2nd owner (bought it at 118,000 miles) had the exact same statement as you "won't drive it hard, etc". 3 months after owning it the motor seized. They paid almost 4,000 for it. I bought it for $500.

You asked about a 2.7 and I'm telling you DON"T BUY IT!!!!! If you buy it anyway, good luck, you'll need it!!!!.

The 2.7 is entirely Chrysler. The engine was probably built in Kenosha, WI.
