newbie here and I need some help
Hi I am a member in good standing on a couple of old chevy truck sites.I own a 2001 sebring that somebody did some work on and left a nut or bolt in the intake You all know what happened next. I had the head redone and I am in the process of putting a new piston-rings and connecting rod in it. But my problem is my daughters 2003 neon [automatic tranny]. She was driving it and stopped for a stop sign. She went to aclerate and the engine bogged down but the car would not move. Two guys tried to push it through the intersection in neutral with the engine running and couldn,t budge it. Shut the car off and you can push it easily in neutral I did find out that it is a one year only tranny. It also displays a PO700{trans control system malfuction ] code and a Po562 [system voltage low] code The battery was dead only after 3 days of sitting. I installed a new bat only a year ago with no problems before now.I am not a stranger to mechanical work I just am lost when it comes to auto trannys.
I need help and advise on the neons electricaly controlled transmission parts. the code is PO[700 ] transmission control system malfunction. my scanner doesn.t break it down any more than that. I have the sebring repairs under control. I have the parts for the sebring just not the time. Life keeps getting in the way.
