Hey guys. I have a dodge stratus, it's got about 130,000 miles on it and has ran just fine up until 2 months ago. There's some issue with the idle. When I first start it in the morning, I have to keep my foot on the gas for a few minutes before it will run on its own. I live in a place where we have very cold winters and that's when this started. When it's warm out, it will start right up without any problems. I've replaced the plugs and wires but really not much other maintence. I've had the idle issue checked by mechanics but they have no idea why it does it. If anyone has any advice, please let me know, I would really appreciate, it thank you!

 

If, you haven't already, you should check the Idle air control valve. It's in the throttle body, especially if your idle seams lower than it was before!
