So I have had my Stratus for about 4 months, (I ABSOLUTELY love it!) Got it after My 00' Durango bit the dust and was just too much to repair...plus this gets 10 times better gas mileage! lol

Down to the point...

I want to do some upgrades, and I have some basic things i want to do (projector halo lights/LED tail lights, Touch screen CD/DVD navi system, Rims, Carbon fiber cowl hood, custom grille, Custom dash/door trim, custom spoiler, etc)

But i'm not sure where to begin..I've scoured the net and everything I'm finding just lacks that uniqueness that i'm looking for...

The car is Silver with black trim, and I want to keep it that way, including a LOT more black trim (which i'm having a REALLY hard time finding) I also want to do some tinted windows/lights but I want to do it DIY which i'm kind of worried about doing...

Before I can do ANY of this theres a few things I need to do, including a new bumper (its not totaled, but theres a lot of scratches and someone tried to repair it and did a HORRIBLE job at it, so i'm either buying a new one or a car bra. AND the drivers side fender is dented pretty bad and I was just going to replace it completely..

PLUS The AC is messed up, puts out GREAT heat but lacks in Cold air...and theres a "clunking sound" when I turn left at slow speeds in the steering column...AND lastly, my gas gauge is messed up...


Anyways...

Anyone have a 06 Stratus SXT with upgrades they'd like to share? or sites I could try? THINGS i could try for the upgrades...???

 

You'd prolly get better results if you just focused on one thing at a time. But since I am here and pretty bored, I will answer a few of your questions.

Projector/Halo/HID headlights are possible in this car. Alot of people buy the eBay kits but I just recommend getting a brand new set of OEM style and opening them up to retrofit. You will have better results.

LED Tail Lights are also possible. Check my garage, I have them installed on my car right now.

As far as the bumper.. I would just recommend getting a body kit which would include a front/back bumper and side skirts. This will give your car the uniqueness you are looking for.

Fenders can be found for pretty cheap on eBay but need to be painted. Or you could try going to your local salvage yard and hope to find a car with the same color as yours that you can strip the fender off of.

AC is a quick fix. Go to Advanced Auto or Autozone and ask them for the AC Recharge kit. I'm pretty sure they should even recharge it for you for free after you buy the product.

As far as HID Projectors, They are very well worth the money. I have the dual halo blacks, I'll never go back to the factory housings they're junk.

LED Tails are also an ebay item. Chrome, Black, Smoked. I have the smoked in mine.

Door/ Dash trim hit the junkyards. RT sedans had carbon fiber, Sebring sedans had woodgrain. Depending on what your looking for.
