Default 2.4L DOHC - need help! won't stay on

Hello all,

I've recently purchased a 2002 Dodge Stratus with the 2.4L DOHC . I got it from a family member who hadn't driven it in 3 years. They tried to crank it to start it when they moved, but it wouldn't start. I towed the car home. After changing the oil, I got 2 5 gallon gas containers and filled the car with premium (93 octane) gas. I figured this would mix in with whatever bad gas was left in there (the needle was below E when I put the key in to check) and filter it out. I was able to start the car, and all seemed okay. I took it out for longer than 10 minutes for the first time today, and after a while my oil light starts to flicker on/off and stays on when I'm not moving. Once that starts happening, my RPM's will not rise above ~1500, and can only drive slow. After that happens, if I shut the engine off, the car won't turn back on unless I floor the pedal before cranking it and steadily give it gas.... otherwise it stalls out (I only did that twice, I'm very cautious with this car). I think there's something wrong with my fuel injectors maybe? I'm not a mechanic, just a handy guy.

I'm sure it's not timing or anything like that... the car drives VERY smooth when running and only has 74k miles on it.

ANY help is GREATLY appreciated.

This car was in an accident. It was hit on the front end, but it only appeared to be cosmetic damage. I replaced the bumper cover and hood. That was all that was wrong. Is there an ASD for this car when it's in an accident? Maybe I need to reset it?
